    Default university firewall

Does anyone know how to bypass University firewall? I can basically surf, but I can't seem to use uTorrent.

Try changing your incoming connection port to 80,443 or 8080 and use encryption.

I would recommend looking into a seedbox, or getting some kind of online OpenVPN peer. If the university wants to throttle or stop torrents, it will be hard to do anything (assuming their IT is competent) without having an online proxy of some sort (seedbox or VPN server).

Yeah, you need to try proxy but a vpn tunnel would be the best for you. There are some free services available like proxpn or cyberghost.

Enable encryption? I'm using uTorrent MAC, does that mean I've to enable the "Outgoing Encryption"? I tried, they don't seem to work. :\

I tried downloading proxpn - but everytime I try to connect it keeps saying Operation Timed Out. Cyberghost is banned from the university websites apparently, it gives me a foo.bar error..
