80 gives me "Listen Error" and 8080 still won't work. I think they've got all ports blocked. I can't even FTP/SFTP.

Maybe you find the way trough Port 443 (https)?

It is just a idea i don't think that port is closed but maybe
you will stuck if your Uni is filtering Datapackages.

    Good Luck.

    Hi,

Don't try your luck. Even if you somehow manage to connect uTorrent, if your network people are good (I am sure they are), they can isolate the traffic by the sheer number of connections from your machine besides profiling. In that case, not only you broke a rule by using a torrent client, you willfully tried to cheat the system. This could land you into trouble.

I would go for a seedbox option like someone pointed out earlier. If you have a computer at home, you can remote connect and manage your torrents there and get them via http or ftp from your home machine.

Q? What school do you go to? That kind of lockdown is sort of ridiculous.

    You can't SSH to anything?
    You can't FTP/SFTP to anything?
You can't connect to a proxy server?
You can't set up a SOCKS tunnel?

What the hell do they let you do on network?

Even if you bought a seedbox, if you can't FTP to it..what the hell is the point.

WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT WAT

All we can do is browse the internet. I can't even connect to IRC, and java applets don't load on my browser. It's sad.

Yeah, I actually bought a seedbox from Feral a while back, but had to cancel it cause I couldn't do squat with it. I can't SSH, FTP/SFTP, connect to a proxy, and can't set up a SOCKS tunnel (since I can't ssh to begin with).
