    Default Reported posts

i think i make daily about 10 reports. Mostly of guys, who think 48h in real life is 24h in the internet, bumping their giveaways to the top. but i've reported some extreme "thank you" spammers also (1 today xD).

so i was wondering, what's the punisment. is it just a warning? via PM? cause i've seen how mods/admins post a warning in that same giveaway, making it somewhat a new bump. or do you neg rep him (which in admins case, means around -20 points, right?) for smth like that.

oh, this post is kinda related to my other thread that was rejected, about "doublepost prevention". what's the whole point in doing it manually, when there's an add-on that would prevent it from happening. are you looking for guys who report stuff?

You don't need to abuse the report post option. This is not a that bad harm of rules as far as I know. You can first, notify them upon the rules... they may bump their thread at every 48 hours etc. They could have imprinted the rule of 24h from their intro.
Notify them firstly, and if they do a persistent harm of this rule, then they have to be reported

There are different inclinations of a warning. One is obviously the PM you've stated, the other is a warning that will permanently display under the 'Infractions' tab in their profile, and finally an infraction which adds points to their account. Once the user accumulates 3 points, he is either semi-banned or perma-banned depending on the severity of his actions.

Most staffs do not negative rep members. A negative rep from a staff with 150 rep power will take away 75 points from the member. A warning or an infraction usually suffice.

There are a few threads in our staff section regarding the double-posting mod you've mentioned. It has been looked at a few times, but no action has been taken. Vegas did mention looking into it; but until he tests it out, it won't be implemented.

We are actually looking for sectional mods or, atleast, it looks like we still are. In any case, just continue reporting them and let staff handle it. Thanks for your input.

you do understand that it's the manual way i was referring to. first someone has to find the mistake, then either report it (so they won't have to deal with it any longer) or send them a warning PM, telling them that they did smth wrong (if possible, change it). IT ALL TAKES TIME FROM THE GOOD GUY.

Vegas installed the mod. We shouldn't run into this any longer.
