any way to check the print of movie prior to download??

assuming you mean the quality.. most of the scene release torrent sites have a /SAMPLE folder which contains a 1 minute sample of the video.. just download this first to check out the quality
Also, some of the users on most trackers provide screen shots after they downloaded and watched the movie, or you can do it the easy way like DakotaJune said and just download the sample, it's much better you can also check the audio quality this way. Sometimes screen shots can be deceptive.

Well in my opinion the best way is to go with DVD rips because they are usually with the best size to quality category. But if you are after quality and size doesn't concirne you then HD is the way to go.

Just if you are not sure of how to get the /Sample directory/folder without downloading the whole file you can usually simply uncheck all the files (or click "unselect all", I believe, in utorrent) then check the sample folder.
If not available, Vlad is quite correct most torrents post a lot of screenshots to show quality.
