Default Suggestions for DVD ripping and/or converting software compatible with Windows 7

So I've been searching for something that I can use to rip DVDs to my computer & eventually make into torrents that will work with Windows 7. The only thing I've found so far that says it's compatible with 7 is something called DVDFab HD Decrypter

Has anyone ever used this, or know of any others that will work for me?

I think you should use AnyDVD to copy DVD to your PC. It's the best.
And then you can encode with meGUI or just leave it. :D

I would recommend HandBrake for the rip/encoding. If you are ripping from an encrypted source you need to install DVD43 to decrypt. I've been using Handbrake for years to encode for my ipods.

There is lots of information to help you get started with Handbrake at Lifehacker

Both Handbrake and DVD43 are Windows 7 compatible.

Check out Ashampoo burning studio 10, it does it all, is super simple to operate, lightweight and powerful.

    I've used more than a few...nothing compares...not even close.

They have a free trial too!

I used to use dvd decryptor. It's super easy to use and its like super small program. You just put the dvd in and you can either copy it or extract it onto hard drive..it's really easy and im pretty sure its freeware
