This is not a bios password is it?
Have you tried boot safe mode?
F8 when booting should give you some options.
Or just grab your self a copy of win 7 and slap it on that baby ;)

Is that a BIOS pass lock? If yes, it is gonna be hard to do on laptop, you might need to contact technical support of the manufacturer in order to do that.

That sounds like a BIOS password... On a desktop computer i think it is enought to remove the CMOS battery. I think laptop has those also, what model is it? Maybe you can find some datasheet helping you locating it?. Anyway removing the battery (not the big laptop baterry) for a while should do the trick.

That is definitely a BIOS password lock. Try these.

Reset the BIOS to defaults by:
    Removing battery + AC
    Hold FN
    Apply AC
    Start tapping F11
Stop tapping F11 and release FN when the LEDs cycle on + off

The BIOS is now restored to defaults and the password should have gone.. If not..

Read your manual and learn how to remove RTC (real time clock) battery leave it out for at least 15 mins .. then re-insert battery..(or replace if necessary) You will need to re-enter date and time. In most cases, it is recommended to restart WITHOUT inserting the main battery.. ( Just use the charger) until you have reset the bios details.. including password.. if you want one.. and saved the changes.
