Thread: Waffles Help Please

Hello all,

I haven't been able to log into Waffles since early today, i haven't forgot my password but I'm not sure if have been banned, I have no clue how could I be banned. Anyway I tried to recover my password in the unlikely event i actually had forgotten my pass, i was then redirected to a page stating ' Please contact our staff for assistance with recovering your account.'

Well, I need to get into their irc help channel and talk to some mods. I tried to join #waffles.fm-help but i apparently i need an invite to join irc://irc.p2p-network.net/waffles.fm.Therefore i cannot connect to their channel at all.

Can anyone help me to get into their help channel? or speak to them on my behalf. I would really appreciate it.

You do not need to be invited to the help channel, only main and announce, but you do need to have a nick registered with nickserv, that should be the same as your waffles user ID.

The server is irc.p2p-network.net (forget the /waffles bit)

Join, and change nick to your waffles nick.
/msg NickServ register <password> <email>

You will get sent an auth code.

/msg NickServ confirm <auth>

/msg NickServ identify <password>

You should then be able to

/join #waffles.fm-help

Thanks Jameo for that, it helped but then a new problem presented itself

I got onto the help channel for a second only to be booted by the waffles bot with following message

'You were kicked from #waffles.fm-help by WafflesBot (trader)

#waffles.fm-help unable to join channel (address is banned)'

I'm absolutely dumbfounded and confused by this. I have never traded in my life, plus and i only invited 2 people to waffles, 1 a friends and 2 a user from here whom got caught cheating (for that they revoked my invite privileges)

I really don't understand whats happened here.

Can mods or anyone help me this issue? It would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if I can help you out with that mate. Maybe someone else will have an idea of what to do.

Not really much we can do tbh. I am only speculation, but it appears that you were kicked probably because they traced you with this site. When did you invite that guy from here? Has it been more than say a month? If you can send to someone you could trust your username to waffles they can see if you're banned or not.

Try joining the irc again, see what happens.

Maybe the guy who gave you the invite was banned on Waffles and they traced back in the invite tree and banned everone else he invited - he may have got his account from someone who was also banned etc etc - these sysops arn't stupid

I’m not sure what happened for them to think i’m a trader. I received the invite from this forum and have been a member for over 6 months on waffles. Surely that don’t ban everybody they find out had been on T-I, plus just for being on T-I they can’t label you a trader??
I have only invited 2 people on waffles, one is a friend i know through work and they other was Shooterman from here, whom got banned for ratio cheating. The only other thing i can think of is if Shooterman has told them he bought the invite of me :-s
I don’t know what to do, they won’t even let me on irc to defend myself. If i was to give somebody my username or if anybody know the mods over there, it would greatly appreciated if you could find out whats happened. I loved it over at waffles L

I think there's nothing more you can do. They already banned you for trading.
