Thread: Best Software to organize Movies/Music/ebooks??

Hello Guys/Gals,
I am planning on to organize all my computer stuff but couldn't figure out what to use for what!
The only software I'm certain of so far is Calibre which seems to work pretty good for organizing my ebooks.
But I am wondering if u guys could help me with Movies/Music, I mean which software to use for each of them??

For Movies, It'd be nice if it also grab IMDB info. along
For Music, I want it should grab the track's info. from some database & then should be able to rename the entire album accordingly



P.S: I'm using Windows 7.

CATVids is an excellent app for managing movies. The developer has other app for various other uses. I own it and highly recommend it. It manages series as well as movies with loads of detail for each.

For Music, try Tag&Rename: Mp3 tag editor Tag&Rename - edit tag in mp3, wma, mp4 files, automatic amazon and freedb import

Thanks for mentioning this. I wasn't aware of any good ebook organizer software for Linux :laugh:

For music, iTunes + TidySongs | Add Album Art, Remove iTunes Duplicates, Fix Misspellings, or Winamp

For movies, take a look at XBMC or Boxee. They pull off info from IMDB.

For music, use Mediamonkey for organization and Mp3tag for tagging your files/albums.

for music I use tag and rename

For music : I 100% recommend Media-monkey it does the job for me very well!

For Movies: XBMC looks pretty decent!

TDC has 2 files one called movie collector and the other is called movie label 2010 and are really handy I have both and are easy to maintain

not sure or even know if other trackers have them maybe they do but I got them from TDC
