Thread: Re-seed TorrentLeech, red arrow on uTorrent?

Hi!

I have just recieved a new invite to TorrentLeech (my old account expired due to inactivity while I was in Japan for half a year and couldnt access), which I am thrilled about! However... my ratio is now down the drain, so I tried re-seeding the torrents that I had downloaded through TL on my last account.



Now, uTorrent does say that they are seeding, but the upload arrow which use to be green is red and they dont seem to be uploading. It should be possible to re-seed torrents, even if it is on a different account, as long as theyre originally downloaded from TL, right?

You have to right click on the name of the torrent in the utorrent program then choose Advanced --> Set Download Location... and navigate to the folder you have downloaded the torrent previously. After that i think you will be ready to seed again.

Of course first it will check the files and then it will start to seed them.


P.S. I assume that you have downloaded the .torrent files from TL tracker with your new account.

The last question that tel1os666 asked is important. Make sure you downloaded the torrent file with your new account, otherwise you're trying to seed with a passkey from your old account and you won't be getting any credit from that.

this has happen to me when I was unconnectable because of my port not being forward so if you have not forwarded your port that may be the problem

It would help if you tell us what error you get in uTorrent.
Just look at "Status" at "Trackers" tab and post here what it says.

I did the first thing you were writing about, but it seems I missed the second one. Newbie mistake.. Once I downloaded the torrent again on my new accound the arrow turned green, so I assume it will start working now!

Noticed if there is a "wait time" on the torrent you try to re-seed.

That could be a factor if your new and try to build of some ratio.

TL is tricky as totally new even thow you dosnt have downloaded anything for your self yet, and only have taken partseed-data to build of ratio on.

So you re-seeding torrents that are 6 months old? From your previous account? Maybe some of them aren't uploading because the torrent is no longer active?

i guess it was cause of the old passkey in the torrents..and as the account expired so does the passkey..I guess that was what causing this error...
