click on the icon that goes green then yellow,,test if port is correctly forwarded ,it will ttell you that if you are or not,,dont assume that if its green that you are connectable cos often you are not
also there is an app called simpleportforward i will edit this and put the link in for you

    http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/download

    will have most routers

i wouldn think its the vpn causing the issue,,select a high number in you want to forward i usually do a range of 5 ports eg 53555 to 53560 and make sure your utorrent has the port between one of them and it should work

Who is your OpenVPN provider (I use Perfect Privacy)? I know at least with mine they include an option called Remote Port Forwarding on there servers. Otherwise peers won't be able to connect to your computer (like you're seeing) as the ports aren't being forwarded on the remote computer you are OpenVPNing to. For instance this page lists the available servers I can connect to: https://blog.perfect-privacy.com/server-status/

They must have RPF enabled. They have a page about RPF here that explains it well:

    https://blog.perfect-privacy.com/200...rt-forwarding/

So for me I then change my port in uTorrent based on the IP they dynamically assign me. I have a fiber connection, so your speeds could be different but I can easily run ~10 torrents at 1MB/s upload OpenVpning from East Coast US to European Servers. If I try torrenting on one of there non-RPF enabled servers the light goes yellow after a few.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi I got in contact with them I use vyprvpn at the minute and they said they accept torrents and I mentioned RPF and the said they can't change any port on the account so there advice was useless so now I'm thinking of every other possibility it could be as still o ly getting below 1kbs on upload thanks for your advice tho , how much do u pay each month for that VPN

    Their rates are here https://www.perfect-privacy.com/order.html

I'm getting ready to buy a chunk of a year or two to save money. I've been doing monthly for about 6 months and really like them.
