Thread: (RESOLVED) Can't connect to What.cd IRC

Problem solved, I figured out PeerBlock was causing the problem.







I've studied it up, and am trying to join the IRC channel to be interviewed but can't connect to their server. I have tried connecting to irc.what-network.net / irc.what.cd / s2.what-network.net and all fail with the error "No Route to Host." I can connect to every other IRC server I've tried besides this one. I'm running Windows XP Pro 64bit SP2 with mIRC 7.1. Windows firewall is on, but no antivirus software, wired Linksys router with a cable connection.



This proves I can connect to other servers:

Try connecting to the IP.

/server -m 85.17.87.6:6667

No dice. Here's a pic to prove I'm not just a buffoon:

Unblock port 6667 from your firewall software or router.

Thanks for the response, but I don't think that port is blocked as I can connect to Dalnet via 6667.

Are you able to ping the IP address through command prompt? Are you able to access the host if you were to enter the IP address into your browser?

Ping didn't work, was able to reach the address in the browser.
