Why do people ask for Gmail?
I was wondering why do people ask for you to have a Gmail email address to get an invite, I tried searching but I couldnt seem to find anything. Thanks :)
Back when it first came out many moons ago, you had to get an invite to create an account. But even back then, invites were plentiful. Now its no longer in its beta stages and open to the general public.
Rest of the e-mail providers doesn't work well like gmail,no junk mail, invites directly comes your inbox usally with gmail.Tha't why people asking you to give your gmail for invite.
A lot of email providers try to block emails from torrent sites, especially emails from big well known trackers like TorrentLeech for example. This results in invites sent through such an email provider having a high probabily of never reaching the invitee. Some trackers don't give lost invites back either, so one needs to be careful. Gmail doesn't seem to care / block anything so it works best.

yeah gmail is the best,its the only way to make sure your not wasting an invite.
not to mention you're just not cool if you don't use gmail!
i mean think about it... do you want someone with @AOL joining your trackers? i dont think so!

Gmail is the best. And It's easy to recover your email when somebody hacks your account. I have lost my account once, and I have successfully taken it again :)
Indeed Gmail is the best and still with the most storage
@vince I had the same question when I joined and drybones summed it up nicely. Gmail is the way to go and if you don't have a gmail it's easy enough to create an account and highly recommended.
Gmail is best mail. You recieve messages/invite instanly, spam goes directly to Spam folder. Easy and comfortable. I love it ;)
