Can I give Igiver for private (non thread) invite?

I did search around for this answer, but couldn't find it:

I kindly received an invite from someone who offered while I was in IRC. I PM'd them ratio proofs, etc.



Since the invite was not via a thread, am I still allowed to give them an igiver?

You need a thread for that.Tell that person to create a thread just for the record keeping purposes.Then you can leave him an Igiver with the link to the respective thread.I think this is the answer you are looking for.:)

I think its up to you if you want to. If you feel the guy deserves the iGiver then give it to him by all means. Just to show your appreciation.

The system won`t let you give the Igiver if its NOT a GA thread. It will give ya an error..

That makes sense. But for the person to be honest and not have everyone think that person is giving away an available invite.. what would the title be? And it should be in the giveaway section?

I think it is ok to the guy to create the thread in any GA sub-forum with the title "1x tracker A" and write something like: "Just for the iGiver tracking". I know one guy did it with a request filled by Veritas, he created a request thread and explained Veritas gave the invite to him but he was making the thread just for T-I keep track of the invite.

As it turns out I was also offered another invite privately and that person could use the igiver so I ended up creating a thread for him.
