Thread: some clarification please re introductions etc.

I haven't found an answer to my question and I think a lot of people could be confused by this as I still am, and , without further clarity, this can only lead to more potential issues down the line.



Also, I have re-read the rules regarding the chopping block, which state:-
'Only traders, scammers, cheaters, spammers, and flamers should be posted on the block'.

I do not consider myself a flamer, scammer, cheater or spammer.
I do not have a duplicate account for any trackers, and have no interested in obtaining one.

Now, just to be super clear.... I am not whining or complaining - if a mod. wants to give an infraction/ban, then that's up to them.

What I do need, is HELPFUL clarity, something which I have yet to received here. The rules are full of rules and 'strict' punishments, but a bit of kind support would be equally as applicable and appreciated.

I recently asked for an invite to A-HD
It was also not addressed that awesome-hd, is now split into 2 sites, so which site this addresses, I am still unclear on. I was a member, but since formatting both my netbooks and changing to a new one, my logins went with them, and, I never got them back. So, in short, I do not have access to those accounts. I also do not have access to teamfx, a site which I badly miss, and had a good ratio on.

I am also no longer a member of fddbits. I was previously, but as the tracker has now died,I can never login again, so the information on my introduction is not 100% accurate.

As this site prides itself on every 'detail', if there was some system in place for this to be edited by mods/super mods etc. this would be useful and help solve any potential misunderstandings.

SO, my questions are:-

1 - What does one do about an account they no longer have or cannot get access to, which has nothing to do with being banned or having a bad ratio on that tracker?
2 - Can one amend or request their 'intro' be amended by a moderator? Otherwise, this can potentially lead to banning etc. down the line for misinformation
3 - Is there actually something in place to take into account the above mentioned factors? It would be a tremendously good idea.

my best advise to you in this situation is to send a PM to an administrator as you are talking about deleting information that was gather for references, you would not want this action to be misconstrued so therefore would suggest that this be the course to take PM JustJenna or Vegas and explain the situation, I am sure that a satisfactory solution will be found hope this helps.

So even though you may have PM'd an admin, I'm going to do my best to answer your questions and your unique situation.

1- You can join the trackers IRC channel and explain this unique situation to them. Generally they can recover or reactivate the account. Even with this so called split, you could go to both IRC channels and see what they could do for you in terms of getting your account back. If all fails, you should ask if you got another invite would it be okay to create another account. If so, then you can apply for another invite at TI, as long as you warn your inviter of your situation.

2-What would you want amended? When you joined everything is suppose to be accurate, what specifically did you want to change?
