Thread: slow speed and is uploading the same file on diff tracker wrong ?

i DLed mafia 2 from bit-soup ( the only 1 i had ) so when i got new trackers i wanted to boost my upload ratio and DLed mafia 2 again from the other tracker but then the file checked itself and made a new mafia 2 row so i have now 5 mafia 2 files uploading to diff trackers is that wrong should i stop or is it a good thing for uploading / sharing ?



1 more thing my speeds seem low i have 2.5 MB connection and my speed doesn't go up from 100-120 kB/s ( 1 MB correct me if im wrong )
what should i do ?
im running windows 7
wired connection to ROTAL - RTA 1025 W

First of all...

1. Do you have DIFFERENT data on your computer ? (Example: 2 folders with Mafia..)
Or only one folder and multiple itens on your torrent client ?

The both case..i think it's good to you , to earn ratio... keep sharing !
You will earn ratio on all your trackers...

The second option that i refer...is that you have the SAME DATA (same hash etc) but you're seeding it on multiple trackers... that it's normal to have multiple entries on your torrent client... This is the best option to do that , because you only download one time..and seed it on multiple trackers... but of course..all trackers have to be the same identical release.

If there all seeding from the same file then just keep seeding it, it dosent hurt to seed on all your trackers and alot of ppl do this that have shitty connections. If you have more then 1 mafia 2, then just delte one and make it hash check to the other identical mafia 2, they HAVE to be the same realease because if it isnt then it wont work.

You are allowed to cross-seed tha same files on as many trackers as you want to.

What about your speedm, I can say that it is maximum for your line, so no worries about that. If you are looking for better speeds, get a new ISP or order a SeedBox.

As for cross seeding, people above me have suggested you what I would have( getting rid of multiple files and seeding the same release on different trackers)

As per as your speed is concerned, Are you connectible? What is the seeder/leechers ratio for thet torrent? Is it for all torrents or just one of them? Did you ever get 2.5MBps speed or did it changed after you cross-seeding? Did you play with your torrent client settings at all? Please make sure to uncheck where it limits your download and upload speed if you do speedtest from your torrent.

well remember cross seeding is OK but remember not to add the announcements as that is consider trading though it won't normally happen but sometime while putting a new torrent it says "torrent already exist do you want to add the announcement or something "

never do that. as this is consider cheating cause your client will be sending the upload data to both the place even if you are only uploading to one.
