I have to thank everyone that gave me ideas from this thread, But as some people has mention to recover files over 3.5gb is slim to none, and i only had a handful of .avi movies that got deleted. And since basicly 99% of the HD movies is over 3-3.5gb i lost almost all of them.

On a sidenote i tried about 10 diffrent recovery programs but the result was kinda similar.

    GetDataBackNTFS for sure!!!

Used this a few years ago, i had a dynamic disc spanned set (with no raid) and one of the drives went bad so i lost everything. I then got a huge drive and scanned the logical drive (all the remaining drives) and was able to recover about 70% of my stuff. Used it again for a hard drive that wouldnt boot and when plugged into usb with a HDD enclosure it wanted me to format it. I used GetDataback and luckilly was able to recover everything. However for a simple mistaken file deletion this should be pretty seamless. Just dont download or copy any files before youve recovered your files.

I swear by this tool ... its saved my ass so many times ;)

if you want additional help with using this tool pm me and Ill try to get together with ya.

I've used EasyRecovery for several times. It's worth a try.
    If not do, try Finaldata.

A_J, though I know you were only trying to prove a point, there is to be no linking to copyrighted files. Infraction given. There are solutions that don't have to involve linking to copyrighted files.
    Retired and happy :)
