I am using vuze on my dedicated windows 2008 r2 datacenter server and it really only connects to a minimal amount of peers when seeding. I mean it sits at around 1-4 MiB/s usually. But it can do much better. Especially if there is a lot of peers downloading at the moment it should do more than that on average. At first it does great, but after a few hours it really slows down a lot, even if there is only a few seeds and a lot of peers it only connects to a few...

How should I configure my server/program for optimal use?

Is there better programs than vuze for speeds/options?

Knowing your internet speeds would help, but anyways you should configure it to connect to as many peers as possible. That should help with speeds alot.

Its on a 10 gbps port, with a 1 gbps link to internet. I went through my vuze and set it up so that the max connections was set to unlimited, gave it more cache, set speeds to unlimited, made it so there was no priority on seeding. Although the traffic is encrypted by vuze, i set it so that there was fall backs on encryption.

Does it come this way set by default? Because if not, then the connections haven't been limited.
