    At first it does great, but after a few hours it really slows down a lot, even if there is only a few seeds and a lot of peers it only connects to a few
    This sounds like standard torrent operating procedure to me. Are you sure the tracker web site updates stats in real time? I have one tracker that only bothers to query the tracker every now and again. Stats listed there are basically outdated, and when you really look at the swarm it is actually more seeder heavy with next to no peers. If I'm still getting over 1MB/s on a torrent after a few hours I'm very happy. Usually by that time mine are down to under 100K/s.

    The speed only drops on torrents with alot more leechers than seeders/bad seeders. Since its a private tracker forum and most private trackers have huge amounts of seeders and many seedboxes on nearly every alive torrent we can expect that he is downloading a well seeded torrent with small amounts of leechers, wich would mean that he has either his OS, router or torrent client misconfigured.
