Thread: Creating torrents

I have some files in my seedbox. I want to create a torrent of those files and upload it to waffles. I have utorrent web UI. Can anyone help me on this.

To simplify that you just need to go to:
1. File
2. Create new torrent
3. Select the directory where you have the file(s) you want to upload
3. Copy your personal code in your tracker to make the uploads and paste it in "Trackers"
4. Select "Private torrent" option
5. Create and save the file.

And that's it

No guys I know how to make torrents. I want to know if there's a way to make a torrent of the files that are in my seedbox and not in my pc(without having to transfer files to my pc first)

Only if the box has the Create torrent option. If not, you can`t. you`ll have to download whatever you want to upload in your PC first, create the torrent with Utorrent or whatever client you use and upload the .torrent on site and after that download it for hash check in your box. That`s if you have what you want to upload in your box already. If not, you`ll have to upload from PC in your box and after that to do what i wrote earlier..

Edit: utorrent web UI. does NOT have the create torrent option. I was downloading from a tracker in the box, from the box in my pc, create the torrent file, upload it on the tracker i wanted to upload that torrent and hash check it in my box again.

This didn't work for me some time ago, i edited the torrent but my box checked only up to 99,9%, never to 100%, dunno why, since i didn't change the torrent folder at my box. Don't know if the size was the problem (28gb).

WebUI suck, unlike the classic utorrent. If your seedbox have the option, change to rutorrent, i believe it has a plugin that allows you to create .torrent files.

There is also a tutorial at FSF on how to create .torrents with TorrentFlux.

The most obvious question is do you have VNC access to your box? If so then yes you can. If not then no you can't as stated above.

If you are able to VNC into your box then it's the same as normal.....
