I think that one of the easiest to prove a minimum amount of protection is to use Transmission and their blocklist. I can't remember which site I saw it on, but I heard that a govt official verified that it does contain 70-80% of the gov's IPs used to bust ppl...

I encrypt ALL my data.

I would not recommend TrueCrypt, as I heard a way to break the encryption in a matter of minutes has been found. I would recommend PGP, it's encryption has never been broken, not even by the military. You can find it on most torrent sites, I got mine off IPTorrents.

PG and PB are just placebos as it only takes one IP adress they forgot to add to get you into trouble. Also most of the IP's there are just wild guesses.
