Thread: How to add chapters into a mkv??

Could somebody teach me how to add chapters into a mkv file???



I'd like to have chapters in my mkv music shows to play on my WDTV LIVE.

I'll try my best. I just taught myself how to do this, and I'm actually converting a dvd with four audio tracks, nine subtitles tracks, and thirty-two chapters. Normally a dvd has chapters in it already, so no problem there, because a program like handbrake will automatically accept and set those for you. Now for a music video file, you will need to create a xml template for, for instance, handbrake. I guess it would all be dependent on what program you are using? I think the xml template is universal though, so any mkvmerge software should do it.
