Thread: Torrents not starting in ruTorrent v3.1

I have a seedbox which used rutorrent, and I'm having a problem getting some of my torrents to start. About half of them will start paused, and then I can't get them to start. I've tried redownloading the torrent file, but it does the same thing. I've contacted the seedboxes support team, but I thought I'd check here as well, to see if anyone has had the same problem.

This is a bug with rutorrent. It is currently being looked at, so u may have to download another source of the torrent for now. The bug is this : when an uploader creates a torrent with his rutorrent and his setup is the same as your rutorrent setup, then when u download his torrent it will start paused. I will get u the link to show u the bug and this is happening to everyone atm, even me.

That kinda sucks considering most of the ones I can't get started are rare torrents I can't find anywhere else. Thanks anyway, Mike.

Just wondering. Is this happening to torrents on certain trackers or across the board?

Ive only had it happen to me at 3 trackers so far and it gets very annoying after awhile. Especially when its something i really need at that time.

Anyway, it will happen at all trackers if the uploader decides to make this torrent with rutorrent and if u have the same setup as him/her. So its kinda a hit and miss and whether or not how they decide to create the torrent. I havent tried any work-arounds and im not sure if there is one just yet.

So far it has happened to me on IPT, PTP, and KG.
