Thread: Little HELP with waffles

Hi guys,

I am facing a real problem.I am finding it really hard to seed at waffles.New torrents dont have any leechers...so its no use downloading them for seeding,even with a seedbox.I know there are many experienced members here at T-I,who have faced similar problems but yet managed to maintain a good ratio.My question is how?

Hey Subkar, some tips I could give you to improve your ratio on Waffles or have a better buffer are:

1. Rip your own cd's and upload them on Waffles, make sure that they are not already uploaded on the tracker though, and remember that there are many types of encode (V0, FLAC, etc...), sometimes the albums are uploaded in one format, so you can uploaded on another one and improve your buffer or ratio.

2. There is a request section, you can help other members by filling their request and automatically help yourself.

3. There is some Freeleech albums there, you won't get your buffer right away, but it is important to seed for a long period of time, seed for months preferably and that will give you results.

Those are some ways to improve or get a good buffer, there are other ways of course but these are the ones on the top of my head, hope this helps :)

Sukbar09- another way to go is to request a 24 hour freeleech and get what you need and just leave it seed, eventually someone will snatch it

I dont know if any of these helped. I picked up a seedbox about a month ago. I downloaded some files. I had to be picky on which files I downloaded. I choose the ones that haven't been snatched yet or alot, and had very little seeders. These sometimes will seedback to a 1 to 1 ratio. Stay away from the comic pack, because it seems like most leechers, are actually partial seeders. this wont help any way. Im still looking to improve my ratio's at what, so this is all I did for now. Hope this helps!

Lately I've been really good at spotting the torrents at Waffles that seed well.
These are some of the things I try to do:

Try to pick up anything on the front page from a recognizable artist.

Most 2010 releases seed well unless they are very obscure.

House, Dance, Trance, and Techno generally seed well.

And even if a torrent is 1:1 seeded, keep seeding. It may be weeks or months down the road, but someone will eventually snatch it and you'll get upload.

I really didn't utilize my account very much until I experienced my first sitewide freeleech. Watch out for these and don't miss out. I managed to gain around 15 GB up upload credit during it. I basically just snatched a whole bunch of stuff that was on the 1st page and some mainstream stuff I had wanted.

Upload stuff. All the old odd CD's you have that aren't on there. Somebody will download them. I just got a few CD's from the library I am planning to upload. Look at the requests. When I started out, I filled several app requests that I was able to easily find on some other torrent sites.

I know I repeated what some others said, but this is everything that has worked for me. Hope it helps :)

I always grab torrents that are are less than 100 mb and brand new - look for torrents with 0 leechers. Make sure they are BRAND NEW and put them on your box to perma-seed.

Also, take advantage of any site wide freeleeches. I managed to get over a 100 gigs up on their last freeleech.

Just be patient and don't be greedy - you will get there!

my technique I use alot is click on the leechers (see red box in screen shot) and pick the smaller size file like at the most 1 gb more or less thats how I try to start but if you are already in a problem with your ratio try to cross seed a file from another site heres a tut on cross seeding or outside seeding http://www.torrent-invites.com/tutor...e-seeding.html
and just remember to take it slow and like others said grab some freeleech and maybe do some uploads if you know how and good luck mate hope I helped in some way

The #1 best way is to jump on a freeleech as early as possible. On the last 24 hr freeleech i made 22GB using a standard shared 100mbit seedbox. The key is to be early, as news travels, people will find out and start jumping on the torrents, but those that got there early will have the most benefit.
What you can also do is to subscribe to the 'Trackers with freeleech' thread here at T-I. If anyone posts a freeleech, you can be notified instantly via email. This can help you get a head start.

I used to have this problem too,but managed to get over it..

I uploaded some programs (even filled some requests,and got some extra-points by doing that),and managed to seed them very well (for at least 12 hours non-stop) and now I got a ratio of 5+. (not much uploaded,but I`m on a good way,never used a seedbox,and my upload speed is rarely 100 KB/sec)

So try uploading some stuff,and leechers WILL APPEAR,I GUARANTEE!
