Hello T-I! I'm here to ask something about the banned countries issue on some trackers (referring to RevTT here) but it isn't the same as the one asked by ogar here: If u r from a banned country then???

But it is somewhat related. So here goes, I recently got an invite to RevTT (should I name who? or from which thread? guess, it don't matter?), let's say from user A. He invited two people, users 1 and 2. I'm user 1 and user 2 is from a banned country in RevTT. I'm from the Philippines so my country isn't banned from RevTT. So, eventually user 2 got banned. And I saw in RevTT that my inviter, user A, also got his account disabled.

We know that if the invitee (user 2) gets banned, the inviter (user A) also gets banned. Here's my question. Is the vice versa also possible? Meaning if the inviter gets banned, then the ones he invited will also get banned? If so, is my account at risk? And what should I do about it?

Hope to see some answers soon. Thanks. :001_smile:

Hi, there's not really anything you can do :( Your account is at risk. If you haven't been banned yet even though your inviter already has been, chances are that you're lucky. I don't think there's anything you can do pro-actively though,..

Thanks for the answer Exa. And, you were right, after posting this thread and after I finished the torrent I downloaded from RevTT, I noticed that I can't login anymore. It redirects me to another page, an article about "10 Best Ways to Get Banned." So, yeah, thanks again for the answer.

Follow up question though if its alright, can I still ask for another RevTT invite in other giveaways? Or not?

P.S. I know the culprit. Well, he was already sent to the Chopping Block and got himself a three-month ban. (Cursing him in my mind right now. Just joking. )

Well I've gotten banned in a similar manner from a tracker (also because of somebody else :( and I really wanted to get back in, so I went to their irc and asked if it's alright for me to accept another invite but they told me that I'd probably get banned for dupe account and risk getting the inviter banned aswell -_-

Seriously sucks, because I want back in on that tracker...

The obvious answer here is: You risk getting another person banned. Your best bet is to check in their IRC but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I was you :/

Yes, you may apply for another RevTT invite. However, you MUST inform any potential inviter of your situation IN your application for the invite, not after they have offered it to you. It is only fair to warn inviters that inviting you means they are risking their own account. If you apply for an invite, and neglect to warn your inviter, you can and will be banned permanently from T-I, so please be careful.

Thanks Jen and thanks Exa for both taking the time to answer my questions. Really appreciate it and will take your advice. I'm gonna ask in the tracker's irc first if its alright with them. Rest assured, I won't forget to inform potential inviters of my situation in my application.

All questions answered. Thanks again. :001_smile:
