Sometimes when I download a torrent I'll see a bunch of rar files with the same exact items. I don't get why they would waste the space by putting the same file down over and over again.

It's one file which was parted for many smaller .rar files, when you'll unrar one of these files you'll see one file which size is the same as all .rar files together :)
I think it's for those with slow connections so they can download bits at a time.
Also one of the files which I downloaded was just a bunch of files all the same size that aren't rars, it said the file typs were 001, 002, 003, etc up until 004. How do I install the game that I downloaded with them? Here's an image of what it looks like

Well normally if you have used WinRaR for archieving your files..you can see the option of spliting them into any desirable size...
so normally you will find scene releases in the rar's of size 14.1MB...as lolek has said....
normally what movie release group will do is they divide your 700 Mb movie into the parts ..
have you tried Winrar on that???...if you have not installed it install it...i have sen these files before and if I remember currectly winrar will do the trick..
<3 to all My friends here and thx to all who helped me..
I am more awesome than ScottK

Okay, I'm confused. What do I do with Winrar to make them one file?
When the files just have the numbers as extension, they are usually just split without WinRAR, WinZIP, 7-zip or whatever.
Try the tool Concat on the files, to get the original disc image: Click
Thank you cheesefactory11 that concat application really worked well.
