I have a 2nd house (house B) that is approx 100 miles away from house A, my current residence. I have internet in both houses. When I am not at my second house using the internet, is there a way I can use the bandwidth and connection like a seedbox, or download place to get and seed torrents? If so, what would I need?

I thought about a remote desktop that way I can access it from home.

What would be the cheapest most effective way to do this?

If you don't understand post your question and I will clarify.

    Thanks!

Looks good! So I would need a computer, and a decent size hard drive.

Now, once I do that, how do I transfer the completed files to my home computer....say I download a movie, the file is stored on the other computer, is there anyway to transfer it?

U need to setup an FTP server on one of the 2 computers u have, then use an FTP client to transfer files back and forth. Depending what OS u have, this is really easy to do. Basically, u could download & install FTP Server on the 2nd computer (House B). Then configure it for use. Next u will download and install FTP client on your 1st computer (House A). Then use that to connect to your FTP server and transfer files. There are lots of different ways to do this, but i just gave u a quick example on how it works.

Also, the best way to achieve what u want to do is to install FTP server, uTorrent with webui enabled and use remote desktop on the 2nd computer (house B). There is no need to install anything else and that is good for what u want to do. To enable webui just open uTorrent preferences > go to webui section and fill in the fields. Then u should be able to reach it in your (House A) browser with the options u chose.

To connect remotely to your your (House B) computer, u could just use Windows built in feature for this. There is no need to use anything else, but if u want u could use something else. If u have any more questions feel free to ask.
