Default Seagate Expansions External Hard Drive.

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if anyone owned this and could help me. I left my laptop and hard drive on while I went into town today to seed, when I got back my hard drive had gone to sleep, I was quite annoyed. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to stop this from happening thanks :001_smile:

I've never heard of this. But here's what I suggest http://lmgtfy.com/?q=stop+hard+drive+from+sleeping.

Hits direct to a program called NoSleep.

If you are using µTorrent. Go to Options>> General and check "Prevent Standby when there are active torrents".

Alternatively, go to power options in Windows Control Panel and set your computer state to Always On, except monitor.

I believe that's standby for the computer. He is talking about standby for his actual external harddrive. Mine does this as well but it just spins back up when accessed.
