Hey Guys,
So as some of you may know I have been doing a ton of seedbox g/a's each month. Paying for 6 different seedbox accounts is getting both old an expensive, I am a student after all. I have been looking at a number of different options to consolidate these accounts into one server that I can create sub-accounts on, which would allow me to continue doing the g/a's that so many people seem to like, and would hopefully be cheaper. Currently I have been paying in the range of $200 ish a month, but I'd like to get that down to $100/mo or less.
The options that I have looked at are
1) A group server from Xirvik.
2) A gigabit server from OHV.
3) A 100Mbit server from Server.lu
4) Another dedicated service provider?
So I am wondering if anyone with experience using these services has anything to add? I need to be able to create sub-accounts, so a blank server may be best. As I am creating sub-accounts I need to have 4 or more IP addresses. Also bandwidth is an issue. I would like to have no less than 500GB for myself, preferably 1TB so I can use the other 500GB for sub accounts, plus more if the server is shared.
At the end of the day the best scenario may be to get a larger server and sell one or two sub accounts on it to help pay the high fees. The issue there becomes that if I offer to split it with someone here, they would probably be upset if I was creating other sub-accounts if they were paying 50% of the costs. Perhaps one option would be to get a large server and create 4 accounts, one for me, one for someone here to pay for and one for each person to G/A on TI. Would anyone be interested in doing that, knowing that it may cost then $75-$125 a month?
So how about this, whoever comes up with the most workable solution will get a slot on the dedicated server for a month once it gets setup. Also if you would be interested in purchasing 50% of the server, and be ok with each doing one g/a slot, as I mentioned above, and are able to afford it, let me know. Just so the mod's don't kick my ass, I am not selling anything here, it's not for profit, just a request to share, and for more info.
