Thread: Why do people get banned?

Going through posts of different threads, i have found that there are a lot of people whose status says banned.

Please would you tell me all the kinds of reasons that may get people banned?

A great many reasons. Dupe accounts, ratio cheating, spamming, same username, etc.

If you have the same username here as you do on any tracker you are apart of, that will get you banned. The dupe accounts refer to a member being banned and then creating another account with a different username.

People are banned for not following the rules. There is a post sticking at the top of this forum explaining it.

You PM a mod and request it. However, it clearly states several times in the rules that you are to use a unique nick. When you completed your intro, you were specifically told to read the rules and asked whether your name was unique to T-I. If you got past that point with the same name you had on a tracker, then you lied to the intro reppers and did not read the rules.

However, this would only apply to those who have become members in the past few months, as the introduction form did not contain that question prior to August. Also, in the past, it was a suggestion not a rule, regarding using a different name. In your case, since you signed up in May, you would not be banned, as well as allowed a name change. Is this something you are in need of?
