I saw some memorx dl DVD-r for 68 cent ea on dealnews.com should I get them and will they work
wel they will definetely work since XBox 360 games use DL discs and if you are asking about the quality of the cd's well it is not bad but I personally use Verbatim or TDK and never had any problems :001_smile:
I've had many coasters using Memorex so I've stayed away from them. I only use Verbatim DVD+R now and haven't had a problem ever since I've switched over. I've burned approximately 200 DVDs within that span. Just remeber to burn it at 4x which you probably already know.

A highly trained assassin, his strength is undeniable, his power is unfathomable. He breathes courage and determination, instills the fear of God in his enemies. Do not question his immortality, he is the Exalted.
There's very little to add - buy high-quality media (Verbatim is a personal favourite), burn slow (usually x2.4 or x4 but oddly enough, different 360s have different preferences) - but just to ensure you're sufficiently scared of poor-quality media like memorex:
Not only will you get a lot of coasters but your 360's laser will die much quicker with crappy media, meaning you'd have to replace the dvd drive. Constantly swapping between media of highly differing quality (eg. Verbatim-Memorex-Verbatim-Memorex) will actually speed up this process* so I'd advise you replace any Memorex games asap.
I think the same is true of your burner (dying quicker with bad dvds) but I'm not 100% certain of this.
*This is, if it's anything like the old ps2 laser, because of it constantly having to adjust and re-focus, wearing it out.
