FTP help for Wii
Im Trying to FTP to the wii using an sd card in the wii. im using something call FTPii to do it on my wii and my computer programs called WinSCP. whenever i try to connect it say this.
On my wii:
Unable to connect to client: [120] socket already connected
Wrote reply:520 closing data connection, error ocurred during transfer.
My PC
Could not retrieve directory listing
Closing data connection, error occurred during transfer.
I just installed ftpii after reading your post and I'm able to access the SD card from my PC just fine. I did not set up a password or username either. Did you? It's unnecessary since you're only accessing the Wii locally.
I'm also using Filezilla but I don't see a problem using any other FTP clients. Maybe give that a go since it's also free. If you insist on using WinSCP, you could try changing it to passive mode. Edit connection > in connection option > passive option enabled.
Make sure you're listening on port 21.

i used filezilla and its still not working it said this.

Protocol error: Unknown protocol identifier (0x50 0x50 0x48). Most likely connected to the wrong port.
Connection to server closed.
and on my wii
it keeps on connecting then it says
wrote reply: 220 ftpii
client disconnected
over and over again.
