    Default Utorrent problem

Hello.I've searched the forum for my problem but I didn't find anything or any utorrent problems thread so I decided to post here.If anything's wrong I'm sorry for it.

So my problem started today while downloading some torrents I got the error "The drive cannot find the sector requested" I heard it might solve with a defrag, but it only worked for like 1h and then got it again. Can anyone help with a solution please? Thanks.

It's likely there are still a few bad sectors in your harddrive. What you can do is run a "chkdsk C:" (or whatever drive letter it is) in command prompt using administrative access. For a more thorough, in-depth, diagnostics I suggest you run S.M.A.R.T. with whatever drive diagnostics program you have.

It's unlikely a utorrent problem but you could also completely uninstall utorrent and reinstall it with a different build.

Lastly, you should still do another defrag on your harddrive. If you performed a quick format the first time, uncheck it this time. Quick perform does not actively delete files and fix bad/corrupted sectors. Also if this isn't a partition with Windows installed, I recommend changing the allocation size to 64K instead of the default 4K (4096).

    CHKDSK C: /F /R

sub C: with your drive name
