difference between igiver , rep and thanks

Hello

since I am running out of reputation

I was trying to know how to rebuild it

I know that reputation is the green bars

and it has no relation with the igiver which is the number between brackets

and the thanks is the button I press to avoid spamming

my questions are

does thanks have anything to do with rep ?

if not how can some one get more rep ?

also how do I know how someone got his rep ?

for example I am member A and I see member B with green bars and igivers

I can know how he made his number of igivers but I cant know how he got his rep

You can't see other member's reputation received except you can see which posts they had thanked by looking at their statistics within their profile.

To see your own rep received, you look at the User CP.

For each "thanks" you receive +1 rep. Users at or above 33% have a particular "rep power" when they manually rep ( by clicking a little scale thingy that shows up when you reach 33%) which is based on the amount of rep they have received. The more rep a person has received, the more rep points they give when they rep someone, but the "thanks" button is +1 rep for everyone.

Take this forum as an opportunity to learn new things about the torrent world and apply for some invites. Take a look around the forums and discuss what interests you. Provide insight, opinions, views, and offer your expertise on various topics. Before you know it, you will be at 33% and soon 55%. Let the rep take care of itself.

there are many threads that discuss this already. Your thank you button disappears after you use it 5 times or you have already thanked the post. You are allowed 5 thank yous per day. You can give unlimited rep but need to have a good reason for giving it. You also have to put the reason why you are giving it.

The thanks button also doesn't appear until you have posted I think like 5 posts... at least that's the way it was for me.
