I have Windows 7 Ultimate and I use ESET Smart Security v4 64bit and it's works fantastic. It the fatest antivirus software, easy to use and don't use much of your CPU.

I agree with you: I use Avast (Professional, though) and it works pretty well, even though sometimes it seems to me that it doesn't tell me everything.
Further, my laptop came with Trend Micro Internet Security with days of license. I used it but was sort of disappointed since it blocked a lot of websites that didn't have any reason to be banned.

If you're looking for free stuff: Avast.

I use Avast. This is a nice program and absolutely free for home useage.
Since avast I don't s*ck with activating nod and other "famous" antivirs. Btw using nod my pc was full of viruses...
So my suggestion is Avast. :)

I use Kaspersky Internet Security 9. Although it does consume more resources than ESET, it has the most complete solution: it protects against browser exploits, OS exploits, IM protection and even P2P/file sharing protection, while ESET doesn't protect from either of these threats.

    Vote for ESET SmartSecurity.
I personally use it and I recommend.
