Thread: Proxy connect error :offline (timed out )

i get this error on utorrent.
on some specific tracker
not all of them.
most of them works
can any one tell me a solution please ,

Are you using proxy? If so, it's probably refusing your effort to connect or maybe the torrent tracker does not allow you to connect through that proxy server. Perhaps you should check your proxy settings in your torrent client and maybe try to turn off your proxy if you're using one. The rumor says that it may be due to protocol on which the tracker works. If the tracker uses HTTPS, it could use IE proxy preferences, so try to turn off, or change that proxy settings. The another solution one used to solve this problem was to stop all torrents except one that was causing this issue. The last thing I can say about this issue, is that it's a known uTorrent bug which may be solved by switching your torrent client to other one, or did you try to update your uTorrent to the latest version? I think it's version 2 beta for now.

What system are you using? My suggestion would be to turn off the proxy. It makes no sense for torrent downloading. If any specific help needed just send me a private message.

it transparent proxy and i cant switch it off
i stay in a hostel so LAn connection is provided by our collage
