Thread: Rules for Site Reputation and Thanks

@ PushHawk - I believe they changed the minimum amount of posts required for the thanks button to be available. I want to say it's 50 now, but not 100% positive. If I remember correctly, I was told that in the IRC help channel.

edit: After posting this I saw that you're at 54 posts. Still nothing?

I also have the same question about not seeing the "thanks" button after 5 posts. It is really 50 posts or am I missing something.

Any help would be appreciated.

I new so I can't quite rep yet, but I want to thank everyone that helps make this a great site. I could definitely see how the posts are both helpful to me and others. TankGirl, thanks for helping me get started!

I read section about reputation in the FAQ and I have a question. Should I be very selective when giving thank you points? Part of the criteria is that if a post is helpful to me or others, I could thank them. I imagine that when I'm reading up on a long thread, I'll find many valuable posts. Thoughts?

You can only thank 5 posts/day so you have to be selective that way.
