Is this possible for a user or is this something that is only available to the gods of T.I.
I did a search for it but couldn't find an answer.

I think it is not possible, I tried to change thread titles a few times and none of them worked. The options are there, it doesnt give you any error when you click on save, but the title itself just doesnt change.
The darkest creature, born at the brighest spot of the universe, hunted by the righteous and sinful, respected by the visionary. He holds the power of eternity, and ultimate destruction. He is the greatest creature from the Ancient, who has the power to control the Future. He is, The Exalted.
Edited: I was wrong, look below.

is there a way to change the own title but you need to have only one post the start thread post. if you forgot something in the title go fastly on thread list, double click on your thread and then you can change it

Weird.. I couldn't do that with one of my threads (while no one replied yet).
edit:
YEP! It is possible :D It's not via the EDIT button, but what Sirius described works perfectly, just checked it with a test thread.
You go to the thread list (the subsection your thread is located in, in this case it's: Help) and you just double-click the row of your thread title and voila - you'll be able to change its title just like you change filenames in your OS. Don't click the title itself or you're gonna be taken inside. Pretty uncommon solution, never seen something like this. Glad you revealed that feature, Sirius! Gonna put that in the FAQ later on.

Ewww.. really? That sucks, but oh well.. I guess it's a simple way to determine whether it's fresh or not.
Hmm... not sure if this has been posted already. Theres actually another way to lock a thread. I was playing around with the title thread and accidentally locked it by doubling clicking this. You can easly lock and unlock it simply by double-clicking that image, so as long as your the thread starter....neato!!
