Thread: μtorrent ratio vs private tracker's ratio...

hi everyone, i got a question 4 u...
recently, in order to keep a high ratio in a private tracker, i downloaded 4 popular freeleeches (4 movies), even if i already had these movies, just in order to seed them to users that don't have them, and doing so to obtain a good ratio at the tracker. the size of these four was about about 35GB... the thing is that the μtorrent ratio is now low, even if i have a good ratio at my trackers...
i'd also like to download a game (about 7GB) but the μtorrent's ratio will be more messed up than it already is, even if my tracker says i'm good to go...
what should i do?
should i first seed 35+GB before downloading further?(i'm capable of seeding at about 40KB/s)
does the μtorrent ratio apply somewhere?

Some peoples asks for utorrent stats but most of the time the only thing you have to show is a ratio proof from a tracker. Cause after all, the thing you're trying to prove is that you can keep your ratio high on a private tracker.

If I were you I would keep downloading and not care so much about my utorrent stats. It would take a VERY long time to upload 35 gb with 40 kb/s.

However, never stop seeding the files, it might takes months but some day you will reach 1:1 ratio:)

the ratio in General is calculated by dividing ( the total upload / the total download )

so when u download so much amount without uploading the same amount that u downloaded , the uTorrent ratio will decrease cuz it calculates the whole uploads and downloads and ur downloads r increased while ur uploads r the same ..

so ,

if u wanna keep a good ratio at uTorrent u just have to upload as much amount as u`ve downloaded or more ..

or if ur ratio at the trackers u have is good , u can just stick with it ..

i know about the ratio's calculation, i was just wondering whether i should care about a medium μtorrent ratio, when all my tracker's ones are good.... so, from your answers i could say that μtorrent's ratio isn't that important as long as you seed enough to your trackers, right?

it`s all about the private trackers`s ratio .. it`s all that matters in any G/A or REQ in here , and if u checked the give invites section u`d find that everyone puts a ratio from their private trackers ..

the uTorrent ratio is demanded in only one case .. that`s when u don`t have a private tracker ..
