Thread: IRC Connect Issue

Well I been unable to connect to the IRC for a few days now, and I have absolutely no idea as to why. I'm not an IRC buff so I really don't know.
Anyways I used to be able to connect to the IRC via my Opera IRC client and it worked perfectly fine until a few days ago.

Everytime I try to connect I get this message.

Joining chat room...
Disconnected from chat

Can anyone help me out? Any ideas or suggestions?

Do you know of any recent changes? (i.e. updates from any apps that may block IRC)

Maybe try restarting your comp, uninstall & reinstall Opera, temporarily disable any A/V & Firewall to test connectivity. Process of elimination perhaps so you can better target the problem.

Even try connecting with Firefox or IE to see if its browser related.

just some suggestions you cant try.

remember, to join the IRC room you have to type it like this:

/j #Torrent-invites l3tm3in

without the l3tm3in it has stopped letting people in...

Turns out I had to reset my router =P then I was able to go on the IRC again.
