Thread: Seedbox Question

Hi guys,

Bit of a n00b question as well, I am a n00b to seedboxes :)
I'm leeching a file right now, quite large in size, I have 27% downloaded and my seedbox says 13.2 GB seeded back (there are A LOT of people leeching it currently). So that makes sense.

What doesn't make sense is that the tracker is not reporting all of my upload? Is it possible that it thinks it's fake? I'm uploading at around 8 MB/s whereas my download is 400 kb/s right now due to lack of seeds.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?
The tracker is BHDTV btw ;)

What type of torrent client is the seedbox running? When I got mine I had to turn off things like DHT which should've been done by the supplier.

And trackers update at intervals so it won't show your total untill it updates.

Yeah it's most likely not the settings that are messed up in your case, it may just be that the tracker has not updated the stats. Usually they do that once a day, some of them....

This happens to me a lot on many different torrent sites. Most of the time it's because the tracker does not update stats right away so you probably have nothing to worry about. It's a good idea to disable DHT on private sites though just in case. It's also important that you upload and download with the same IP address. I have a dual NIC config and I once tried port mapping so that I would upload with one modem and download with the other because I had different classes of service on each modem that made this desirable. I ended up getting banned because they thought I was cheating. Food for thought (;
