Default How do I Close a Thread?

I would like to close a Mid Level GA thread that I am running right now, but don't know how to do it

    I have read this post:
    http://www.torrent-invites.com/gener...wn-thread.html

    That did not help me

Does anyone know how to close a thread? Do I need to request it from a Mod or VIP?

I looked around in T-I but could not figure it out

I would like to open a new Mid Level GA, but before I do, I want to close the other one

The first line added by admin in the topic you read clearly states:

(ethicks: It is most likely that you will need 100 posts before being able to lock your own thread, however feel free to try and see if you can lock your own thread[s]).
You've got 63 posts so you can't do that yet. :)

I'd suggest you simply typing "0 invites left. EOT." and that's all.

    Your input is appreciated adenai

ethicks states that "it is most likely that you will need 100 posts before being able to lock your own thread, however feel free to try and see if you can lock your own thread[s]"

This is why I tried to close my thread

I just finished reading every post in the 7 pages of that thread and some people even beyond a 100 posts still cannot close a thread

Even staffrodore in this thread is not able to close a thread and he has more than 100 posts

The reason I posted was because the advice given on how and when one can close a thread seems confusing to me. I was attempting to gain clarity.

I thought that perhaps I had missed something and was wondering if there was an easy way to close a thread

It appears that is not the case

I will take your advice and just say 0 Invites Left - Thread Closed.

Well. I guess I'll investigate that deeper tomorrow and maybe include it in the FAQ. But saying "EOT" was always enough for me. Cheers.

    Default Thread closed..

    Personally Im not sure how many posts you need though this is what it looks llike;

    1. It needs to be your own post.

    2. Click advanced.

    3. Scroll down you'll see it in the center towards the bottom of the page.

    4. Click the box, so its checked marked.

    5. Hit post and boom thread closed.

OK, everyone can close a thread, just follow my [one-step] instructions:

    1. On the top of the first post in the thread, there is a menu button labeled "thread tools." Click on this button, and at the bottom of the menu, click on "Perform Action."

There. Now your thread is closed.
Remember, this only works on your own thread.

    Hope this helps,
    giga

Ok, I just went to my Thread at:
    http://www.torrent-invites.com/mid-l...x1-ipt-x1.html

Clicked on Thread Tools - my options are Show Printable Version, Email This Page, Subscribe to this Thread, and Add a Poll to this Thread.

I do not see the option of "Perform Action"
