Thread: Any suggestions on how to scan book into ebooks

OK. So I have some books that I would love to have on my laptop in pdf format (older books). I tried to scan one of them with my scanner, but it took way to long to complete. So I was wondering if any of you guys have suggestions on how to produce a good copy of ebooks from regular print books in a fast and reliable ways?

First, make sure the book isn't already available as an e-book somewhere - that's the best way to save your precious time.

Combining the methods they use and with what I was thinking of doing which is something simmilar but different.

Instead of using scanner just use plain Digital Camera, build a V-shape stand, (now the lights will be challanging to work with).

Later process the images with software (talked about in the article) and compile them (I have Nitro PDF to work with.)

Unfortunatly, I have not tried this methods but after exams I'll give it a shot. , thanx.
