    Default Need Help (utorrent config)

    Hi all.
So I was running utorrent 1.8.5. With the 1.8.5 version my upload speeds were actually pretty good. But now I made the mistake of updating to the newest version which is 3.2. Since updating my uploading speeds are if I'm lucky around .8 kb/s were they were around 150 to 230 kb/s.
I don't really know a lot about configuring the torrent so maybe someone here can help me.

I would really appreciate any help

Did you re-open your port (port forwarded) on your router?

Besides that, I usually run the Setup Guide wizard (Options > Setup Guide) to the nearest server and use the recommended settings.

You could also go to Options > Preferences > Advanced > Disk Cache and use the following settings:

Members here will also advise you to go to your Preferences > BitTorrent and uncheck all DHT options, Local Peer Discovery, and Local Peer Exchange. If you use your client on public trackers, then don't disable anything.

Try posting pictures or details of your current preferences, so that we can find out what the problem is. A screen shot of each important tab in the preferences would be good.

What's the symbol on the bottom left corner of your utorrent? A green circle with a check or a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark?

I'd also downgrade it. I don't like 3.0+ versions of utorrent, they have lots of crap I don't need or want and some features weren't working right the last time I used one of these versions.
I'd recommend you 2.2.1. Been using it for years, never had a single issue with it.

Uploading Speeds do depend on the leechers too,see if there are enough leechers on the torrent and as el2em has mentioned did you port forwarded(i.e open the port) after upgradation ?

Ok so I did the setup guide and it found my upload speeds to be 4.4Mb/s and I am now using the suggested setup. Speeds have increased a little but still not what it was. I dont know anything about the port router? Turns out I'm more of a noob then I thought. Thanks u so much for your help so far. :D

Question. Do you have a tracker like RevTT that could check your "Connectable" status?

No sir I do not. It strange now some of my uploads are around 120 kb/s with spikes upto 350 kb/s but from one particular tracker they are still staying around .8kb/s
