Default can somebody help me setting up rtorrent rutorrent on apache centos 5 VPS

I am tired of using "hit and trial" method. So far no luck. I have successfully installed rtorrent and rutorrent on my server with libtorrent and xmlrpc-c but I am still getting the error

    Code:
    [02.07.2012 13:24:01] WebUI started.

[02.07.2012 13:24:01] No connection to rTorrent. Check if it is really running. Check $scgi_port and $scgi_host settings in config.php and scgi_port in rTorrent configuration file.

I would be glad if this community could help me setting up my Web torrent application.
So far I got every bit of help from you guys. which made me register on this forum .
hope I will be able to setup my rutorrent, with the instruction provided by the members of this community.

Just noticed that rpc plugin is "not loaded" but enabled. My server has cpanel installed and it doesn't support mod scgi
it seems rpc is the only way I can connect rtorrent and rutorrent. :(
can someone give me any suggestions?

It just stopped at the status "pausing"

Can someone please help me :(

Why dont you send a ticket in to your provider??? 98% of providers/resellers will install whatever you want. You can get all your issues resolved in no time.

The problem is that I haven't' bought my Seedbox. I am just trying to install it on my personal VPS. There is no provider.

I think I am almost there to achieve the final result.
Now It is just the port which is bugging me. My port status is closed no matter what range I choose.

check port forwarding and your ~/.rtorrent.rc . Alternatively, you might be able to get to the config through rutorrent. Also check permissions on the directory where your data gets stored for the user you have rtorrent runnning as. I've had problem with the umask setting being wrong and messing with permissions of files that rtorrent was creating.

I wouldn't be surprised if your VPS has a firewall that blocks higher ports. If you can tunnel through SSH, you could test this with Open Port Check Tool
Otherwise you can telnet to one of the ports from another box and see if it tells you "escape character is ^" or not.

Well, I messed up with the settings a little bit and unblocked the port range in my firewall - it now says - "port status is unknown" also, in rtorrent it doesn't connect to tthe tracker no matter how long I wait. @emandiputsyna Sorry, I am not new here, have been reading the tutorial since a very long time here, wasn't a member so, thought will register here to get into the community.
