Thread: Can't seed anything on SCC

Hey guys, I got an invite to SceneAccess today so I've been trying it out. I downloaded roughly ~7GB to my 100mbit/s seedbox and I'm getting upload speeds like 5KB/s. I'm not having this problem with TVTorrents or TheBox.BZ, I downloaded 10 gigs worth of TV shows from TVTorrents and seeded 1:1 back within 10 mins. What's wrong? Is it this hard to seed on other general/0day private trackers like IPT or FL (I've been desperately trying to get invites for these two in particular, but if it's going to be just as hard to seed it's not worth it) or is everybody on SCC just really well prepared?

You are not the only one that have problems with seeding at SCC. There is so many seedbox users that have irssi-autodl setup so new torrent after 5 minutes on the site it overseeded and you won't get any upload... Only way to get buffer is to download new packs in the ARCHIVE selection as soon as they are uploaded or you can setup irssi. If you will get the new torrent on your seedbox before it gets any snatches you will get max upload speed at your seedbox and good ratio on torrent...

Yeah, that's what I figured. Is it even worth having accounts to trackers like this? It sounds to me like you'd spend the majority of your time trying to find things to seed rather than enjoying the torrents you download.

So pretty much the only way you're able to get your ratio to an acceptable point is to make an RSS feed and download freeleech packs the second they come out. Problem with that is my seedbox is only 100GB, so that might pose some issues.

Can anyone vouch for the environments on IPTorrents and TorrentLeech? Are they impossible to seed like SCC or are they relatively easy like TVTorrents?

Only 100 GB seedbox can be a problem as the torrents that are smaller get overseeded even faster as you can't compete with 1gb seedbox users but you can try irssi as RSS feed are slow irssi use scc irc announce channel that will add torrents to your seedbox as soon as they are uploaded check this IRSSI Auto Download for SCC - Part I i have been lazy to setup irssi so i have just idling at announce channel of scc and have been looking/waiting for new pack to be uploaded and when uploaded i have put it on seedbox :D

IPT is easy to seed very easy to get buffer the same with freeleech torrents that are uploaded all the time. About TL well for new users they have wait times that make it harder to seed but if you can cross seed torrents you can make a nice buffer remember that at TL there is no freeleech torrents...

I'm probably going to end up just letting my torrents I've already downloaded seed for a few days and see what happens. But I'm really glad to hear that the other two are easier to seed, those were the ones I've really been wanting an invite.

I second pretty much everything specialized has said so far. Been w SCC for a week and have about 100gb uploaded with a 100mb/100mb box, but it is a difficult tracker.

One more thing you should have is patience. If you have some popular, relatively timeless torrents (popular games, shows, movies etc) and leave it on your box for a few weeks or months even it's pretty much guaranteed that too will help build your ratio. I just got rid of BF3 and CoD3 off my box but those were still seeding across multiple trackers, even so long after the release albeit in small portions at a time. It takes time, esp on SCC so having the same expectations from SCC as you do of other trackers might make things frustrating.

My personal line of thinking is not to compete for the new torrents but to help with rentention of the older stuff.
