Well as of now it would depend on your provider now as some of them tend to pay more attention to your traffic and the sites you visit like Charter while some like AT&T do not really care. Either way I would suggest that you get a seedbox if you use private trackers to download from and VPN if you use public trackers more simply because most seedbox services do not permit the use of public trackers and VPN can hide all your traffic and also you to use public trackers and DDL with anonymity. Either you are safe for the rest of this month before ISP start monitoring your traffic and sites you visit in July and punish you for illegal downloading -https://torrentfreak.com/isps-to-beg...summer-120315/

I'm based in the UK so need to check if my speeds etc are throttled by my ISP.

But I have had a good response from various people now to satisfy my original question. Thanks

There are some UK ISPs that offer uncapped service without any throttling, Sky's unlimited service for one which is what I use. In terms of traffic capping, if you tell your ISP you are going to move to a different provider they may well offer an uncapped service in order to keep you as a customer, but throttling is network wide so only way around that is an ISP that does not throttle, or using a VPN or seedbox.

I'm with Virgin at the moment who are pretty good overall but as I have been with them for years, they know my montly usage, and I often get capped but I find I can still get few meg download speeds now and than, and during the night I get much better speeds also. I was looking at Talk, Talk, Plusnet and BeThere as they all provide fibre lines too.
