Thread: Getting Rutorrent Autodl-irssi Plugin working with BTN

Hey all,

okay so for the life of me i cannot get my IRSSI rutorrent/webgui plugin to work with BTN..

I feel like i've followed everything posted. But i can't ever get past the 'reading configuration files" message in the Tab in the gui. Once or twice i've gotten the "identified nick" and "monitering........." but nothing after that.

I have the IRC Servers part filled out with the correct info...



#btn-announce as the channel.. regular port (not ssl)

Got my user Nick, password and email in there.

No password next to the announce channel.

i already went through the steps registering the nick and all that stuff per BTN instructions.

I'm told that if it works, it's supposed to look an actual irc channel in the tab in rutorrent. all i ever get is "reading configuration files"

You need configure the tracker, like this:



And create a filter:

okay...here's a strict list of what i've done/have filled out.

I actually have 3 channels checked off in my profile for BTN irc (including the announce channel)..should i JUST check off the announce channel? (i just checked off the rest to be safe)


but so far..
Did the BTN IRC instructions to register my NICK and /msg cable guy - CHECK
REGISTER my nick and all that irc stuff on btn's irc... - CHECK
Fill in the AUTHKEY-PASS section of irssi plugin - CHECK
IRC SERVERS INFO - CHECK

okay i have a couple of questions, for the filters...is it NECESSARY to fill out ALL the empty boxes under general AND tv/movies?

here's a screenshot of the "irc server" portion (if the info not blocked out isn't allowed, someone please remove it)


For the KEY and PASS, i did a right-click - "copy link address" for a torrent file" and then pasted it into the box. Everything filled out okay. Should I have strictly copied and pasted from the chrome cookie history?

You do not need to fill in all fields of the filters, for example:

okay, i thought so...... in that case..it isn't my filters that's preventing me from grabbing anything. I'll make a random filter for a show that airs tomorrow just to be sure though....
keep the ideas suggestions coming fellas.. i'm here to learn and inform..and be informed.. :D buuuuuuuut ultimately get this darn thing going. seriously, rss feeds are proving to be fairly less complicated than this. i envy and admire all those who do irssi via SSH...you guys deserve medals.
