    Default rtorrent announce problem

I have been waiting for a waffles freeleech for a long tie and at last it's here. I have added 2 torrents to my whatbox seedbox running rtorrent but I'm getting an error saying tracker falure you are trying to announce way too frequently. I have googled and searched the forum but can't find a solution or root of the problem,
    any help would be appreciated
    Thanks

So I stopped the torrents and restarted them and it there's no more errors but...only one torrent is uploading despite having lots of peers. Perhaps this is all that is allowed by the tracker during freeleech that only one torrent can upload at a time, I'm not sure but would like to hear if anyone else has the same issue
    Thanks

The error "announce way too frequently" is showing because you announce to the tracker to orfen.

Etc, did you press "update tracker" on the two torrents on your seedbox and mabey on one at your home connection. Then you have annoucned to waffles three times right away. I think waffles update once every 40-45 min. Just leech, seed and await, then you should be good.

    EDIT:

If you search on waffles forum, you can see several post about this. The common response is don't worry. I find the answer below the best.

This is an official Waffles administration post
It's to prevent overloading the tracker from announcing too much.

If you leave your client running until the next update, you'll be fine.
Not much help, but if you follow it. Im sure you be fine

Summary: Don't update your torrents manual. Keep then seeding/leeching and don't stop them. Just await and you will be good.

    Best Regards, KYLLAH.

Thanks Kyllah, that's reassuring, I didn't manually update in the first place so not sure why it went nuts, maybe cause I tried to log in from my other box as well but will let it be and see how it goes. Wish I could seed more than one at a time though, regardless I'm grabbing what I need and a few more that sound interesting, gotta love them for the sheer volume of content :)

feeling much happier now thank you, I guess I was just in a frenzy cause I'd waited so long for freeleech , I had 54 points more to go for a 24 hr freeleech for myself.

Thanks again will close thread now
