    Default Rutorrent settings not changing.

    I have a problems with the Bandwidth Limitations in RUtorrent. The problem is that they are not changing after changing the .rtorrent.rc file to 0 unlimited.

    The .rotorrent.rc files is saving changes but the RUtorrent settings for Bandwidth are set to 104200 for both up and down even after a reboot of the VPS server.



    Can someone tell me how to fix this and if those settings in Rutorrent are limiting my bandwidth?

    I am on a 1gbps VPS shared with 4 other people.

    I would check with your seedbox provider and see if they allow such changes. I know a lot of seedbox providers won't allow you to change these types of settings on shared seedboxes/VPSs.

    That mean your VPS is capped out 100 mbps, I guess. Even you change higher than that, it won't do.
    Like above said, better to ask your provider to make sure.

    1. Let us know where you place your rtorrent file. Are you doing this to the user running rTorrent?
    2. Let us know how you start rTorrent.
    3. Let us know if .rTorrent.rc is readable by your user running rTorrent.
