Default Problems with the display on Acer Aspire 5920G

Hi there. From a while the display of the screen is black, dead I can say. Putting an external monitor it works(images appears), so the problem is not the video card. Yesterday I bought an inverter and a cable which connects the display with the motherboard. I've connected them all and still no sign of life on display. What can I do to make it work somehow...?

    Thanks for reading:)

hmmm sounds like maybe the screen has completely gone.

The same happened with mine, I use to connect it to the TV and it would work fine. But when I tried new connectors etc the screen would never work. I didn't have the spare cash to get the screen replaced but maybe you can look around for a cheap one, ebay?

I'm still using mine on a TV LOL

Good Luck buddy, never nice for that to happen :(

To me it sounds like an improperly (loose) seated VGA or power connector. The other option is allot more expensive to repair. <$150

Have you token the notebook apart and see if the screens VGA and power cables are correctly seated to the display and motherboard? If not I would advise doing this. If that doesn't work and the screen just dies you can get a replacement screen for under $100 usually. There are many step to step tutorials for screen repair on youtube, etc. If you are interested in choosing this way to fix it and are curious about anything fell free to PM on IRC, or on the forums. I've Done this 4 times so far. Worked like a charm every time :D

    A few things to consider:

    1. Shine a torch in your LCD screen and see if there is any dim display. If yes, it could be your inverter or backlight which is faulty.
    2. If number 1 doesn't apply, then chances are you connector to your LCD screen is faulty.
